Marketing Portfolio
I’m driven by a strong interest in creating and communicating in ways that feel intentional and engaging. Through my work in customer-facing roles, especially my experience as a sales consultant, I’ve developed a passion for sales and a strong ability to connect with people, understand their needs, and build trust. Alongside this, my work in social media and content creation has shown me how to translate those interactions into compelling messaging. As an English major with minors in Marketing and Creative Writing, I’m especially interested in how storytelling and strategy work together. I hope to use my degree to pursue a career in marketing where I can combine creativity, communication, and sales experience to create meaningful, effective content.
Past Projects
Sales Associate and Social Media Manager - Kool Kids Couture 2024
Bookseller and Event Manager - Hicklebee’s Inc. 2021-2026
Each year at Hicklebee’s, Candlewick Press hosts a month-long Where’s Waldo scavenger hunt across select independent bookstores in the United States. For the past four years, I’ve organized and run the July event, working in the months leading up to recreate a childhood favorite in a way that feels engaging and community-centered.
During the event, I manage social media by sharing updates, reminders, and information, while also meeting with local small business owners to coordinate collaborations. One of the most meaningful parts of this work is building ongoing relationships with the same businesses each year, creating a strong sense of community through the event.
In 2024, I got the opportunity to work as a sales associate and social media manager at an independent children’s clothing boutique located in San Jose, CA. During my time there, I focused on communicating the owner’s brand to social media to improve representation for her store and bring in new customers.
I utilized skills I learned in a stop motion class at Saint Mary’s, and put together some cute charismatic videos that would hopefully catch the customer’s eye, and encapsulate the playfulness of Kool Kid’s brand.
With training in Stop Motion Studio and self-taught Canva and iMovie experience, I used idle time on the floor to deliver a creative and enticing course of social media posts and videos.
The owner saw great improvement with customer interaction online and even saw an impact in store revenue.
Another short Instagram reel made using stop motion, including clothing and home inventory.
An Instagram story made using stop motion studio, iMovie, and Canva; filmed in-store and edited by me. I used stop motion and incorporated inventory.
Similar summer ad, using swimwear to showcase stock and summer sales.
At Links Through Learning, located in Los Gatos, CA, I worked to support their administrative and marketing development as a growing small business. I got the opportunity to work on their website construction through Squarespace and help navigate the calendar and employee workspace.
